The Body Shop Pomegranate Serum Review

My sister has been using this serum from last one year and this review is based on her experience with the same. TBS is a well known brand for all of us and is famous for its natural ingredients. I have in the past used a no. of things from this brand and have been sort of impressed with them. I mean who does not like less chemicals in the skin care products.

Read on to know how this fared for her.

Packaging: the serum comes in bright maroon colored pump with a cap on top. The cap is not sturdy enough and comes off easily. Thus carrying this along in a bag is a bit of an issue. But the bottle is cute and looks good kept on the dressing.

Texture: the texture of the serum is very light but not at all runny.

Final Thoughts:

Okay so this serum is said to contain organic pomegranate and is targeted for the signs of aging. Though my sister says this is more suited for the first signs of aging and not the deep wrinkles or lines. She has been using this for more than a year now and has seen only slight improvement in her wrinkles or lines- say 15%. However, it does not provide much firmness to the skin. Basically do not expect it to give you those chiseled cheekbones or firm chin area. It would not do so.

Upon application, it feels pretty cool and soothing and skin feels a bit taught just temporarily. Being thin in consistency, it absorbs pretty fast without much efforts. It has sweet fruity smell with hints of castor oil smell which does not linger for long.

That said, but she finds it as a good moisturizer and definitely helps in maintaining the good skin. It hydrates the skin well and takes care of dry patches, if any. I guess no skin care cream or serum can completely erase the wrinkles, you definitely need to get cosmetic surgery for the same.

Good skin care products can definitely prevent the signs or aging and cannot cure them and I guess this does work in preventing the wrinkles or lines but does not work that well on existing ones.

Also one bottle easily lasts for 4.5-5 months even if used twice daily.

Rating: 3/5

Do I Recommend: if you are just venturing into the anti ageing territory and do not have any major lines/wrinkles, you can definitely start with this serum. But if you are above 35 and have major lines/wrinkles, I guess this will not work much.
