As you all might know by now, I am a corporate lawyer by profession. My job requires me to sit before laptop for around 7-8 hours daily vetting agreements, drafting new ones etc. etc. So much so I love my job, I equally hate the demerits I get along and one of those is my pesky dark circles. While in college I did used to get dark circles, but they usually subsided with my DIY eye pack (coming soon for you guys) but now because of my job, I am too lazy to follow the pack routine daily and thus have to go with panda eyes. Now here comes the concealer to my rescue. It easily takes me from a panda to fairy in few seconds.
This was the first concealer I bought, though I did not know earlier how to use it right way but now that I do, m loving it.
What L’oreal Paris says:
A super-blendable skin true texture concealer, disappears into the skin while providing coverage to conceal all imperfections. Matches your skin’s tone and texture Precisely. Hides blemishes, imperfections and evens skin tone.
True Match’s Opti-Match technology contains ultra fine pigment match every skin tone and texture with extreme precision. Super-blendable formula gives a freshness finish that does not cake or streak. Dot concealer on to blemish or under eye circles. Using your finger gently tap concealer into your skin until fully blended. To set concealer & prolong wear dust concealer with powder.
Price: Rs. 945/- for 5.2 ml (was Rs. 895/- when I got it in January)
Packaging: the concealer comes in a small and slim plastic tube with brush applicator. I like the non-messy hygienic packaging. The brush is pretty soft and helps in patting the concealer onto problem areas.
Shade: this is what I don’t like about this concealer. Limited shade range. Only 3 shades are available. The light one is too light even for my NC25 skin tone and the medium one has strong orange tones. Though it is slightly dark for my skin tone but I make it work.
Texture: is very soft and creamy. Neither thick nor runny, just perfect giving me ample time to blend it well.
Final Thoughts:
I was matched to the shade N4-5 by the SA which seemed perfect in the store lights but is slightly dark for me. On days, when I have light dark circles (when am not sitting in front of laptop for few days at stretch) it looks orange on me. On regular days, it works well.
This particular shade N 4-5 has strong orange tones so it works both as a corrector and concealer for me. I use it mainly on the inner corners of eyes, where I have darkest pigmentation and slightly blend it outwards, it works best this way for me. I can just not use it for the rest of my face.
Coverage wise this concealer works amazing. It is medium to full coverage on its own.
Being a liquid concealer, it does not settle to a matte finish but a demi-matte one. For my oily skin, I just cannot go without setting it with powder. Also this concealer does set into lines (I have deep ones) but it does so within few minutes of application so you can just blend it again if you find it going into lines.
Staying power too is pretty nice. Under the foundation, it stays as long as I don’t remove it myself. Alone too, I stays easily for 5-6 hours, once set with powder.
All in all I adore this concealer but only qualm is the limited shade range. Though the Shade N 4-5 will cater to most of Indian complexion.
Best Features:
- no fuss hygienic packaging
- comes with its own brush
- creamy texture
- medium to full coverage
- stays long
- blends easily
Not so Best Features:
- limited shade range
- expensive for a concealer
Rating: 4.5/5
Do I recommend: if you get your shade match, this is one of the best one for pesky dark circles. Blends well, covers full and stays put for whole day, what else one wants!
XOXO

I really like this concealer too! Very nice review:)
I really love this concealer too! Great review 🙂
Thanks dear😘😘
I am using the clinique concealer right now.. and it settles in fine lines. This does not seem to be settling that much… might be a good option.
This hardly settles into lines and even if does, it’s within few minutes, so you can easily blend with fingers.
Even i’m glued to this concealer…the price has gone so steep…

This actually sounds good! I like it when concealers blend easily and give me the coverage I need for my under-eye circles.
People really say good things about this one! might give it a try!
This sounds like a nice drug store concealer. Will check it out on my next shopping trip

I always wanted to pick this one up and now I regret not picking it up before the price hike! *sigh* I love concealers! I have the MAC Pro Long Wear and I love it but it’s a little lighter for me! I guess I’ll buy the darkest shade and mix it up since it is similar! xx
I have this concealer and I have been using this for quite some time now. Quite good.

Okay! Thanks a lot dear 🙂
Nice post! But 945 bucks for a L’Oreal Concealer and limited shade selection breaks the deal 😦
completely agree dear but if you find the perfect shade this is comparable to MAC prolongwear!
Ohh is it? Sounds like worth checking out! I am NC30 in MAC. Can you suggest which shade I should go for? 🙂
i think n 4-5 should work for you. m NC 25 and use the same shade. light shade is too light and had pink undertones.
