Since the day I saw these tip tints in ads online, I just knew I have to have these. One toh I am a lipstick addict and second these crayon type packaging is so easy to use and line the lips in one go, so lena toh banta tha na! but I only know how I laid my hands on this, really! After a long tiring day at work, went to a nearby mall but the SA said he has only testers till now and lip tints for selling would be available after few days! Can’t tell you how disappointed I was. Finally after a few visits here and there, I got these on Monday! Felt sooooooo happy!!

Packaging: I love and adore the crayon type packaging. These are so much easier to use than regular bullets. Filling the color and lining the lips-both in one. Perfect for lazy bums like me. The lip tints are color coded packaged and all have similar silver cap. Nice easy no-fuss packaging.

Shade: Victorian rose is a beautiful blend of pink, red and orange. It is a very wearable kinda red and gals who shy away from wearing full blown reds would surely love this shade.

Texture: these lip tints are really matte in texture. More towards dry kinda matte. The texture is very unforgiving on dry lips and immediately clings to chapped areas.

Final Thoughts:
I loooovvvveeeee lovvveeee this new launch by Lakme. Trust me they are the best matte lipsticks in the market in this range. Quite comparable to MAC retro mattes!
The range has all bright poppy shades and am already eyeing the pink one after using this.
The color is a unique red and can be easily worn during the daytime also without attracting much attention. Looks perfect with a white top!
The crayon type packaging is a boon because it lines the lips well. I use the pointed tip for lining and the edges for filling so that I don’t flatten the tip soon.

The finish is completely matte. Kinda you get when you blot the lipstick with a tissue. Infact I find this matter than MAC retro mattes.
My only qualm is the texture. Its tooooo dry. The lips need to be prepped and properly exfoliated before using this lipstick else the dryness might accentuate and look tacky. On well hydrated lips also there is some tugging and pulling involved. I generally use bit of lip balm before applying this lip tint. Application becomes easy this way.
The pigmentation is bang on! You get the color in one swipe itself but to even it out, you need to swipe twice atleast.

Despite being so dry, these do not feel heavy on lips at all. Very very light and comfortable to wear.
Once put, these neither bleed nor transfer much. Easily last for 4 hours with light snacks in between. Tends to lighten up with a full meal but leaves a strong tint behind which definitely needs a makeup remover to be removed. This does not make my dry lips more drier with time. Formula is pretty nice!
