This lipstick needs no introduction. Either you’ll have it or it will be in your wish list. This is one of the hot selling MAC lipsticks. So cutting out all the crappy blabber, lemme take you ahead with the review of this pink lippie.

Price: Rs. 1450/- (when I bought it, don’t know now)

Packaging: same as other MAC lipsticks, shiny black bullet. Difficult to locate a particular one when you have more than 1. L

Shade: MAC describes impassioned as an amped-up fuchsia. But for me its no where fuchsia. it’s one such kinda shade which looks different on different people. Looks quite pink on my NC 25 skintone, whereas looks warm coral on my NC 42 cousin. The shade has neon coral undertones but on me does not look as neon as on deeper beauties.

Fragrance: this needs a special mention here. I love love love MAC lippies for their distinct vanilla fragrance. No other brand can ever match up to this fragrance. Its just heavenly…

Texture: this is a part of MAC Amplified crème range and is thus creamy and has a soft satiny texture. Creamy to the extend that it has tendency to bleed if applied too much and also tends to settle into lines upon too much layering. Perfect for dry lips as does not feel dry at all, even after hours.

Pigmentation: is bang on! Goes opaque in single swipe itself. 2 swipes are more than sufficient to cover the lips evenly.

Staying power: is longgggg, very long. I wore it for around 8 hours at my brother’s wedding and it did not budge at all. Even after a full meal, it was there on my lips intact. Also it leaves a strong stain behind.

Final Thoughts:

This is one of my favourite pink lipsticks of all times. On me, its what I can call a true pink lipstick. I had first wore it at my brother’s wedding last year and got lot of compliments for the shade. I am anyways fan of anything neon and this has that perfect neon touch to it, which I adore. A must have shade in every girl’s kitty.

Best Features:

1. Perfect neon pink shade
2. Vanilla fragrance is heavenly
3. Stays for around 7-8 hours easily
4. Has a creamy texture and is easy to apply
5. Pigmentation is bang on

Not So Best Features:

1. Price is a bummer
2. Tends to bleed if applied too much
3. Leaves a heavy stain behind
4. Can settle into lines

Do I recommend: Definitely yes! Its one of a kind pink and now you know why its hot selling. A must have in every girl’s vanity. Haven’t found its closest dupe yet so would advice spending 1450 on this.
